Code of conduct.

As the representation of all Agricultural Sciences students, it matters greatly to us that everyone feels at ease and can be who they are. A space for everyone can only exist if individual boundaries are respected. The code of conduct applies at all events and activities of the council, to everyone present.

Our principles

Everyone involved should experience respect and appreciation. We treat one another without discrimination, regardless of gender, religion, appearance, sexual orientation, disability, language, or social or economic status.

Boundary violations are not tolerated. We see them as both an act of violence and an abuse of power.

What this means day to day

A boundary lies where the person concerned draws it — not where others assume it to be. A no needs no justification, and the absence of a no is not a yes.

Asking is never wrong: about closeness, photos, drinks, or topics that might affect someone. Anyone who notices they have crossed a boundary apologises and changes their behaviour instead of questioning the other person’s perception.

If someone does not stick to this

We address behaviour. Depending on the situation, and always in agreement with the person affected, this can mean a conversation, separating people at an event, being asked to leave, or exclusion from future events. In the case of criminal offences we support a report to the police if wished, without pressing for it.

Version

As of August 2025 adopted version

Notes

The code of conduct is not a finished text. If you feel something is missing, unclear or weighted wrongly, write to us — changes are decided in the meeting.
