Is agriculture the right choice for me?

Interested in the natural sciences? Always wanted to know more about food production, feel close to nature, or curious about the economics of agriculture? The agricultural sciences are diverse and offer many ways to specialise.

I have hardly any experience of farming.

Practical knowledge is an advantage but not a requirement. There may be time for a placement before you start; otherwise there is the flexibility window in semester 4. And the degree itself has practical parts: excursions to the university’s research farms, plus several excursions a semester run by us.

Maths was not my subject.

You do not need to have taken advanced biology or maths at school. Gaps can be closed, for instance in the preparatory courses, and the lecturers know that you are studying agricultural sciences, not mathematics.

Not convinced yet?

Then ask us in person, via the contact form, by e-mail or phone. The university’s central study advisory service can help too.
